Coaching Courses
> L E V E L O N E | C O A C H A S S I S T A N T A W A R DThe following Level One Coaching Assistant Award courses will be held during the first half of the 2008-09 season.
Blandford Dorset | 5/7/14 September
(closing date for applications 1 August)
Wells Somerset | 26/28 September/5 October
(closing date for applications 15 August)
Gloucester | 13/19/26 October
(closing date for applications 5 September)
Plymouth Devon | 29/30/31 October
(closing date for applications 19 September)
Bristol | 9/23/30 November
(closing date for applications 26 September)
Exeter Devon | 14/16/23 November
(closing date for applications 3 October)
Each course costs £140 and all candidates need to attend all 17 hours of the course.
The maximum number of candidates for each course is 24 and all courses are expected to fill up very quickly.

The Level Two Coach Award is England Hockey’s benchmark of coaching and the qualification enables a coach to deliver sessions independently and/or lead a team of Coaching Assistants.
The course duration is 4 days of practical and theory modules following which candidates are required to ‘build’ their coaching portfolio, complete 6 hours of mentored coaching and complete 2 practical assessments.
