West Council expressed their deep concern at the content of the Disciplinary Report submitted to this meeting.
Discipline within our game is vital its success and a request is made to all Clubs to warn their members that Umpires have our full support in addressing ill-discipline on and off the pitch.

By the end of February 2008, 23 disciplinary reports have been received in the 2007/08 season.
A red card issued in the Women’s game, early in the season, incurred a 16 day suspension.
In the Men’s game there have been twelve red cards with 16 day suspensions, including one to a team coach and one to an U18 player. There were further suspensions for red cards; one for 30 days; two for 75 days; one for 120 days (60 days doubled for a second offence within 12 months); one for 180 days and an MMO for 16 days.
Disrepute offences committed when a player under suspension played a Club match, incurred an extra 10 days suspension for the player and a fine for the Club.
An appeal lodged by a player and his Club against one of the 75 day suspensions was determined by the Regional Disciplinary Appeal Panel (chaired by Tim Horsfield) and resulted in a reduction of the penalty to 60 days.
Finally, a plea from CDA’s which is hoped will be passed back by representatives on West Council. When umpires forward RCRF to CDA’s, please do so quickly (within 72 hours) and please use a First Class stamp. This will help to meet the deadlines.
