Opportunity for coaches at JRPCs in Bristol & Exeter...
For 2009 West Hockey Association is again seeking to appoint a number of coaches to work at the Junior Regional Performance Centres (JRPCs). The JRPCs are the regional level structures for the development of high performance in each region of England and have replaced the system of regional squads as part of the Single System for Hockey.
There are two JRPCs in the West, one at Exeter, one at Bristol. The coaching programme is led by the centrally contracted coaches and senior coaches from the region.
For 2009 there will be four age groups – U15, U16, U17, U18 (Boys & Girls). The JRPCs represent an excellent opportunity for all hockey coaches to work with these staff in both leading and assisting roles.
The dates for the 2009 JRPC Programme are:

Qualifications
The West Hockey Association seeks to involve all coaches who have the potential to coach at the higher level. We would expect a minimum qualification of Level 1 and a verifiable commitment to the Level 2. A current First Aid Certificate and a current Child Protection Certificate are required (qualification are needed) and all coaches would be subject to an Enhanced CRB check (through England Hockey). All expenses paid by West Hockey Association.
